It seems failure is no longer an option in our society -- and certainly not in education.
Many teachers, principals and leaders are being punished for perceived failures as the field continues to struggle with how to improve education. Failure is stigmatized and punished versus viewed as a necessary part of the trial and error process. The result is fear and defensiveness.
We need to discuss the importance of this issue...and Justin Snider does just that, in a fabulous piece in the Huffington Post.
